Portfolio by Kaan Bati
– Game Designer

Amira's Journey was developed by a 12 men team as a project for the university during the 7th semester of the studies Game Production & Management.
The city of Neu-Ulm has various problems in the field of mobility. With the help of our game, we want to draw attention to some examples of these everyday problems.
To reach this goal the players are playing the senior citizen Amira and are facing the challenges in her daily life. Players must collect returnable bottles out of garbage cans to earn enough money to afford an bus ticket, cross dangerous roads with car traffic and master many more challenges. The game is a 2.5D Side-Scroller with simple movement mechanics, an interaction mechanic and inventory.
